We provide training, strategy and consultancy services to organisations of all sizes. Our team members have been employed as trainers, training managers and project managers.

One of the drivers for the creation of iTrain Direct is our personal experience of trying to source quality external training support. Whether via software vendors or training companies, it was difficult to find services that offered good quality, availability, consistency, tailoring and value for money. To put it simply, we know we can do a better job!

Chris Davies
Director & Consultant

Chris began his IT training career in 1999, with the majority of this time spent within the legal sector. Chris was formally the IT Training Co-ordinator at Irwin Mitchell, the Senior IT Trainer at DLA Piper and IT Training Manager at Pannone.

Chris specialises in curriculum development, IT training strategy, IT training project management, software rollouts, utilisation training and skills development projects.

Chris is a Microsoft Office Master (Office 2003 and 2013). Chris has also previously achieved TAP, ITIL V3 Foundation and Prince 2 Practitioner certification. Chris is also a iManage Certified Systems Engineer (ICSE).

Dorigen Sykes
Director & Consultant

Dorigen has worked within the IT industry for 15 years and has been in the Legal sector since 2008. Her IT career began in Technical Support for Manpower before moving into IT Management whilst working for the government in Australia.

Her passion and talent for imparting knowledge to others led her to take up her first pure training role with DWF, where she became the Training Manager and built up a skillful team. Dorigen project managed the training and communications for the implementation of Elite 3E, Worksite iManage, as well as Bighand Digital Dictation and Office 2010.

Her next challenge was another Elite 3E Implementation at the Olswang offices in London, Reading and across Europe and Singapore. In this position she also authored a strategy document for the relaunch of the training function which was adopted by the firm.

Most recently Dorigen has project managed the complete transformation in IT systems at Brabners. This has included a domain migration and infrastructure refresh, a desktop refresh, a new printer fleet, FollowMe printing, Cost Recovery and Microsoft Skype to replace the analogue telephone system. She also delivered the training for these projects. Her final project was Worksite Document Management which she guided to successful pilot stage.

Dorigens’ certifications include Prince II, ITIL Foundation v2 & 3, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Australia), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Cisco Certified Network Associate. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Law.

Dawn Dutton
Director

Dawn was a practising Lawyer for 16 years in law firms such as Pannone and Eversheds. Whilst in practice, Dawn was regularly involved in training, including devising and delivering compliance sessions (such as the introduction of the Money Laundering Regulations) and training staff on the Microsoft Suite. She also redesigned internal case management systems to better suit the practice and delivered training to all staff on the changes.

In 2009, Dawn made the decision to move fully over into training and undertook a period of academic study and teaching. She attained the PTLLS qualification and various Diplomas, including Train the Trainer, Project Management and Microsoft skills. She also gained PRINCE2 and the Open University Professional Certificate in Management.

In 2011, Dawn moved to Norwel Computer Services (a legal software provider) as a Trainer and Consultant and commenced the PDE/DTLLS (Professional Diploma in Education) University course. She created a suite of new training courses and materials (including videos and e-learning modules) and was the first Trainer to generate a training revenue, due to the success of the training. She graduated as a Teacher of over 16’s in 2013.

Dawn moved to Peppermint Technology (a legal software provider) as Training Manager, where she successfully ran a Graduate recruitment programme, as well as devised and implemented a suite of courses and materials, managed Trainers and delivered training. She also devised and ran a number of firm-wide senior management projects.

Dawn has also successfully completed courses in Adobe Captivate 6 and ECDL Advanced (Microsoft).

Alison Giannini
Senior IT Training Consultant

Alison has over 15 years’ experience in the analysis, design, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of training projects within legal and large blue chip multinational organisations. A graduate in Psychology, Alison started her career in Learning and Development roles for Barclays Bank and O2. Alison also spent a year in London as a Training Consultant providing Management Development training to BT Wholesale.

In 2005, Alison moved in to the legal industry as an IT Trainer and managed the training at the Manchester and Liverpool offices for DLA Piper UK LLP. She then became Senior IT Trainer at Pannone LLP, managing the IT Training function and a number of IT projects across the firm.
Alison has completed the CIPD Certificate in Training Practice, ITIL V3 Foundation and NVQ Level 3 in Training and Development. She is also a Microsoft Office Master (Office 2003 and 2010).

Caroline Singleton
IT Trainer

Having graduated in Computer Studies from Sheffield Hallam University, Caroline has amassed 30 years’ experience in IT training. She has completed assignments in a variety of business sectors, both as a direct employee and on behalf of many specialist training providers, clients include Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Rolls Royce, NHS and BT.

Caroline’s entry into the legal sector began in 2008, when she joined Greater Manchester Police designing, developing and delivering end-user training. During this time, she chose to complete her Certificate in Education. Most recently, following two years as an IT Learning & Development specialist with international law firm DWF, she was IT Training Manager for Aaron & Partners LLP.

Since joining us, Caroline has worked with a number of legal clients to deliver training via classroom sessions and via WebEx.; worked on client sites to support the roll-out of new applications and desktops; designed and developed eLearning including assessment tools and provided coaching and mentoring to our new Trainers. Caroline has provided training for the LTC4 (Legal Technology Core Competencies), Microsoft Office, DocXTools; Nuance Power PDF Pro and Advanced, Windows 10, iManage and Skype for Business. She has also used Adobe Captivate 9 to produce eLearning materials.

Emma Marsden
IT Trainer

Emma studied at Leeds University for a degree in New Media, where she became passionate about learning new technologies and the future of IT. During her time at University, Emma undertook a marketing internship where she aided with the rebranding of a small local business.

Seeing the benefits of her hard work, she realised she also had a passion for helping others.
After graduating, Emma spent several weeks travelling in Asia and soon realised she wanted to combine her love of travelling and meeting new people with teaching and helping others. This is what attracted her to the role at iTrain Direct.

Emma specialises in delivering training on Peppermint, iManage, Skype for Business and the MS Office suite. She continues to enjoy the on-going mentoring and constant opportunities for improvement and new skills which are delivered by iTrain Direct.

Matthew Higginbottom
IT Trainer

A graduate in Business Management, Matt spent several years playing professional cricket where, through coaching, he realised his enjoyment for helping others develop. Matt then moved into an Account Management role and finally onto ITD where he can once again pursue his enjoyment for training others.

Matt joined iTrain Direct as IT Trainer and has worked on a variety of projects for the firm across several platforms. Whilst predominantly focusing on Peppermint Technology software, Matt has also delivered training on iManage, Skype for Business and the MS Office suite and enjoys the variety involved in the role.

Alison Lowe
IT Trainer

Alison, is a graduate of life sciences with an MA and various teaching qualifications behind her. With a vast array of training skills behind her, she has over 16 years’ experience of design, implementation and management of various curricula.

Alison has always had a passion for developing people and this has enabled her to use her skills to disseminate information; delivering accurate training needs for the individual user. Alison is an IT Trainer and specialises in Peppermint Technology software, MS Office, LTC4 skills development programmes and project management. Alison is driven by people and enhancing their experiences of training.

Ryan Chung
IT Trainer

After achieving A-levels in ICT and English Language and getting a BND in Media. Ryan then studied Film and TV Production. It was at University where he realised that his favourite aspects of working in TV and Film was helping cast and crew and providing training on equipment and techniques.

After University, Ryan decided to combine his passion for snowboarding and teaching by spending a season in Canada and achieving a CASI Teaching Certificate. Working at iTrain is the perfect opportunity for Ryan, as it combines his passion for meeting new people, technology and teaching.

Ryan has completed his intensive 12-week Induction, learning products such as Peppermint Technology, iManage and Skype for Business, as well as legal process and training delivery and is well on his way to becoming another of iTrain’s highly skilled Trainers.

Elliot King-Davies
IT Trainer

He gained a 2:1 in History and Spanish from Nottingham Trent University. While at university he worked alongside and taught people both in the UK and internationally. He also has near fluency in Spanish from time spent working abroad. These experiences introduced and encouraged him towards a career in training.

Elliot has completed his 12-week Graduate Induction Programme. Because of the Programme, he now has experience in products such as Peppermint Technology, iManage and Skype for Business, as well as legal process and training delivery and is well on his way to becoming another of iTrain’s highly skilled Trainers

Shennan Sangster
Executive Assistant

After graduating College and gaining her BTEC National Diploma for Travel and Tourism, Shennan found her passion was in perfection – she loved to organise, provide great service and manage a team. She started work in the customer service industry answering calls and resolving complaints and worked her way up to management. This opened many opportunities to learn administration, finance, team handling and customer relations; in which she has gained many years of experience.

Shennan now is the Executive Assistant to the senior management team and carries out many HR, Accounts and Operational functions for the business.
